Post  Sam on Mon Oct 13, 2008 11:27 pm

Hello Everyone

Is it the usual plan for the Tyne Tour, Friday night beers in the tap and .......
Dawn raid, Tyne gorge carnage
Fireworks, Then Celigh?
Tyne gorge carnage Sunday?

Only slight change is that most people meet in weatherspoons in friday now.
Sat we'll prob run from Walk all the way down to tyne green with a group change half way
Fireworks and sat night
Tyne gorge sunday

its up to mark, but that is the pretty standard format

Ian,

How far is it to run from Walk to the Tyne Green? I'm not very good at running. I did once do a 1.5mile fun run, will I be ok?

Just so people know, there is a race on the sat which will be good practice for any one doing WWR later in novemeber, it would also be a good challenge for the more experienced paddlers who may find floating down a bit easy maybe?!

Is that Mark P in charge now? That's a proper Pooleman dynasty developing. Cool

Im right excited about it already. Just off to pack my bag now, boat is in the van (after the bulkhead had some surgery!). Anyone found my throwline yet in the store?

Whats the weather been like up there this week? Its been real crap here and all rivers are up - even the stream at the bottom of the site was right up other day and nearly into the cabins!

Will see you in Spoons at somepoint in the evening.

Cheers

Helen mind having a look for mine too? It's a red and yellow Nookie bag with my name on. Thank you! I think there must be a throw bag monster living in the shed who gorges on ropes.... Twisted Evil
